I was looking through Fork's cymbal offerings on ebay and they have several Istanbul cymbals in various sizes and weights. Does anyone know anything about these cymbals. I have never seen or heard one. Billy Billy A Jester,unemployed,is nobodies Fool

Every Istanbul I've ever used was fantastic. I use them in orchestra all the time. The Agop and Mehmet lines are both solid. Those are the ones I've used. "Wagner's music is much better than it sounds." - Mark Twain

I've played a 20" Istanbul Agop at the Sunday blues jam. It's a real nice cymbal, reminds me of an old "K". -Mike of Baltimore We don't stop playing because we grow old. We grow old because we stop playing. If all the worlds a stage, I want to operate the trap door...

I don't think they are different series, they are actually different manufacturers. They both use Istanbul in their company names.
