honestly, this forum is nearly non-existent on Drum-World. Nobody here gets into marching percussion stuff very much at all.

Except me Pleased. I have experience in marching drumline in high school and college. My daughter is in high school drumline now, but it is during the regular fall/football season. There is only one school in my town that does indoor drumline, and they are quite good.

Overall I think it is a GOOD experience for kids, especially ones that can't afford drum corps during the summer. It can take time away from school and study, so some kids could potentially fall behind.

I've always wanted to play in a real drumline. I play the rep., but there's just nothing like that around here.

I'm on the drumline for winter percussion at Shepherd Hill HS in Mass. Indoor percussion is a GREAT experience. This is my third year and you learn alot and it keeps your chops in shape for the upcoming fall season. Even if your school isn't all that great, the experience is awesome.
