Hey guys!

This is a topic I find a lot of people, even experienced players have some trouble with! So this is a 12 minute video on how I do it. It's got some bonus tricks and tips I've learned over the years and some demonstration on how I use moongel as well. With a cool little known fact about moongel vs microphones.

It's meant as a bonus video for an article I have coming out in Drums Etc Magazine next month. But you can see it first :)

This is great, Aaron, but I had to unsubscribe from your youtube list because of all the Sonor commercials (the pimp series) you have been sending. Sorry.

Hm. Sorry about that man! People wanted some gear craziness.

When I'm done with the "Sonor Commercials" it's back to straight up lessons. :) Should be really soon, I'm trying to get them all done as soon as possible!

Again, my apologies on that man. :) I never meant to upset anyone!

Subscribe to me again in like three weeks and it'll be all about cool rhythmic stuff like it was originally!

I just wanted these all up before NAMM so I'm really pounding away at them.

Bravo, Aaron! Great content, and a nice, crisp presentation.

Cool. Like the detuning trick.

I do that on floor toms a lot to kill ring when the resonant head takes off with bass drum hits. But usually just one lug. I have never tried it on a snare drum.
