Welcome. This is a nice small community of drummers united by completely deviant personalities. I kind of like it here. Hope you will too.Pleased

Hi Stu.

Tell us about yourself. How long have you played? What kind of kit do you have? Are you willing to send some hookers to Baltimore?

Thank you all. I've been playing behind a kit for about 8 years I think...if my math is right. I've been in 3 bands, Arius, Product of the Know, and Grinwire. The first was just a highschool band, great learning experience. The second was shortly after school, we ended up kicking out the vocalist due to bad drug habits...he would later pass due to those same vices. Leading to our current line up, known as Grinwire. I play on a PDP kit, CX series, it's a 6 piece, 2 up 2 down. I've recently obtained a 7x14 acrylic PDP snare, the black one w/ green mudflap girls on it...pretty nice. anyways, I normally stick w/ Evans Heads, Sabian cymbals, and Vater sticks, 5B Hickory w/ wood tip. I've tried the metal AHEAD sticks but wasn't too impressed. I've studied jazz, classic rock, metal, and all the "rock" generes in between. First tought myself how to play to the Nevermind album of Nirvana's. Anything else? just ask! As for the hookers, I don't know any that are in the profession but I know a few I'd call hookers and by all means, one way tickets to Baltimore for all!! Cool Dude

Hey what's up? I'm originally from a small town here in Iowa called Winterset...if you're into John Wayne or Covered Bridges you may have heard of it...now I reside in a part of Des Moines called Urbandale...oh, and I'm less than a month from being 21 finally! thanks for the welcoming, much more pleasant than a couple of local des moines music boards i've found. peace to the people

Hawkeyes are always welcome.Pleased

I've traveled a good bit in the west and midwest and Iowa has always wecomed me. It's a good place to be from, but probably not the best place for an aspiring rocker.

As for the friendliness of Drum-World, this site contains some of the nicest people I've never met.
