So Phil...

Canada vs. Russia tomorrow night!

I'm not going to make a prediction. Russia won the 2008 and 2009 world championships, we won in 2007.

Canadian team has basically ditched Brodeur after his poor performance against the US, and his replacement looks sharp so far, but Luogo has never played the Russians before.

On the other hand Canada looks better every day, and Russia has had some injuries and Ovechkin will have to take up some of the slack.

Not sure who's gonna win (of course you know who I'm cheering for) but I can guarantee the country will be basically shut down and I'll be watching the game having some beers!

GAME ON!

Oh that's going to be a big one, just to bad it's not for gold.

Same here everyone and their mother will be watching that game.

I like Canada and most times hope they win but this time, Russia really needs this game like Canada, never the less the U.S can not win gold! It will be a very big let down here.

Good luck Duncan, I'll be over here watching for sure!Pleased

Sorry to say Russia did not play well at all. 6-1 Canada after the first period.

Although the first period was rough, the third was quite fun. One goal Russia, none for Canada. It was fun to watch at that point.

I have never seen myself or my friends so patriotic. I am not generally a patriotic person. We went out to the campus pub to watch the game. it was completely packed with red and white jerseys. First goal (only a couple minutes in) everyone yelled so loud I couldn't hear a thing. At the end the whole place broke into the national anthem. People here like Canada but I have never seen anyone acting to crazy patriotic like this.

Finally Luongo is first string goalie and his tournament save percentage is MUCH higher than Brodeur's. So hopefully he'll be able to work against (probably Sweden) on Friday.

I was hoping for a Canada/Russia showdown Sunday, but I guess we'll have to see what happens.

And yes, I saw the puck through the net goal, I believe it was Sidney Crosby. AMAZING Canadian centre.

Him and Jarome Iginla are a deadly combination (and Staal).

We just won both gold and silver in women's bobsleigh! It's a good day!

Anyone see the German team? Their sled flipped over about halfway down the run and the girls feel out the back. Confused

I hope they are okay.

Friday is Canada vs. Slovakia (who just ousted Sweden, former Olympic champions).

It is also the USA vs. Finland (Finland beat the US last time as well to win silver).

So both should be VERY interesting games.

However if anyone is looking for a little 49th parallel rivalry, it's Canada vs. USA for gold in women's hockey tonight!

And Canada shuts out the USA women for the gold medal!

Great game. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
