thinking about buying a new snare to add to my growing collection and came across this Hillsong thread. can someone tell me what snare they used on he I heart Revolution? especially on The Stand. I'm guessing it's a Pearl masters MCX but not sure. anyone?

First off, it's not generally good form to dig up a thread that roughly six years old.

Second, there's absolutely no way to know what drum they were using. Endorsers of specific brands often use other drums from their collections for records to get a particular sound.

Add to that all the EQ, compression, gating, and studio magic that goes into a snare drum sound, and there's really no way to tell.

The best thing you could do it send them fan mail and ask. Though it's possible they don't even remember (I listen to older recordings I did and can't remember which particular drum it was).

a vast majority in this country see hillsong as a cult enjoying the tax-free status they are entitled to here whilst reaping in millions and millions of dollars each year.

They are currently under investigation by the feds for fraud

..and by the way this is an olden mother-
f#%kin thread

Champ start again in the "intro' thread - its generally the place to start when you join a new forum.
If you have a question on a snare drum or sound post a thread in the general drum talk section.
Its pretty straight forward.

You should certainly bother to post.

We're not being mean or rude, I'm just trying to inform you of the etiquette of an online forum.

If you post on a forum of professional drummers, you might get an answer you don't like. In this case the answer is 'there's really no way to know'.

Pop over to the Introductions page. There is a lot of knowledge here.
