| Hi folks,
After 30 years of wishing I still had my drums, I have purchased some drums and I'm playing again. For those of you who are young, or even if your not that young, don't ever stop playing. You will regret it if you do.
Anyway, I picked up a used Pearl Export set to bang around on in the basement. I don't know how old they are, but they seem to be in good shape, just needing a head or two. Now I am taking advantage of the fact that the kids are grown and gone and I can buy what I want (within reason, I am married ). I am picking cymbals and other goodies to make playing more fun.
I like a pretty wide variety of music, but favorites include Chicago, Grand Funk, Deep Purple, The Eagles and The Allman Bros.
I don't so much play the drums as play with them. It is sad how much you forget in 30 years. Add to that young drummers are doing stuff I never even thought of when I was playing, and I don't see me going public with my drumming any time soon.
So, I will pick your brains once in a while if you don't mind. There seems to be a lot of knowledge here.

| Nice to meet you. You will be surprised how "unoriginal" your situation is! hahaha...I am in my 40's and stopped playing for almost 25 years while I raised my kids and just got back into it last year. It's a blast, and it will come back to you!
