You may think that you'd never hear me say this.

I need no more hi-hats... ever.

I think you're covered.

Considering I can count the number of gigs in the last 10 years where I've used something other than New Beats on my two hands, I think you're probably alright on the hi-hat front.

Of course I do want some 14" Constantinoples. Devilish

Well, I guess it's a little over the top.

As of late I've been using my Sabian 13" Evolution hats and my 14" Constantinoples the most.

I haven't plaved my any of My Paiste Signatures in a while, I really should set them up.

If you guys have never tried K Custom Dark 14" hi hats you might want to give them a listen.

Actually Gene, when I bought my New Beats, I was down to deciding between them, and a set of K Custom Darks.

I went with the As because they were about $80 cheaper, and I couldn't make up my mind which was 'better'.

They're definitely nice hats.

I guess one more set of hats would be okay...

Duncan,

I don't think I could pick a 'better' between them, but perhaps better fit for me. I Have no issue with New Beats, just wanted to mention one more variety for a 'full' inventory. NOt a necessity, but they do match nice with a predominant K custom set up.

Wow Mike, that is a beautiful bunch of hats.

You literally have more quality cymbals than my local drum shops. They have a few As Ks and HHXs but rarely do they get more than 4 sets.

Oh definitely, Gene. I actually thought the Ks and New Beats were very similar. New Beats just a little louder, and brighter, but very similar in terms of tonality.

I think I would take the Ks now, but 5 years ago when I bought them, I like the brighter ones more.

I know I could easily function with virtually any one set of hats that I have, but it's fun having a well stocked drum store's worth of cymbals to choose from.

I think my ride collection is even more well rounded.
