| for the E-Pro kit! I bit the bullet for Zildjian Gen16 cymbals - 20" ride - 18" crash - 14" hats - 16" crash - 12" splash and the mounting hardware that matches the kit. Problem is, the factory hasn't shipped any to dealers yet, no telling when. No problem, I'm still basking in the anticipation of ditching those bleeping plastic cymbals. | Hi, guys! I still prefer my acoustic kit, but I'm committed to using this "mic'less" kit live. Ghost notes are intermittent no matter which kit is installed in the module. That's frustrating because a major part of my repertoire is shuffles. Finding a kit with a decent cross stick has also been elusive. The toms and kick are top shelf. Did I mention that plastic cymbals suck?
Updated on 8/9/2011 5:56:19 AM ps: These drums are as heavy as an acoustic kit, if not more so. I suspect that the shells themselves are heavier than my fibes maples. The tru trac batters are definitely weighty. I've played this kit through a pc and through the module. The module is better because it offers local control of the sound. The pc has to have just the drum sound library loaded, nothing else, to perform flawlessly, but who has a home pc like that!
Updated on 1/20/2012 12:13:32 PM Ordered on Aug. 1, 2011, still don't have them. The dealer had to ship the 14" cymbal pack back to Z because of defects. Been told that it might ship to me in about a week. Been so bummed about this whole process that I haven't touched the e-drums in months. Phil | | Message posted 286 days ago | IP Logged |

| The e-cymbals feel, and play, just like the real thing. Getting a bit of noise through the headphone, haven't yet found the source. Otherwise, they sound pretty dang good to me! There are two condenser mics under each cymbal for a total of 10. My acoustic set uses only 6! Will know this weekend if there will be feedback issues on a live stage. I was able to mount everything on the e-pro rack. The pickups can glow blue in the dark. Phil | | Message posted 117 days ago | IP Logged |

| Update: The cymbals are pretty cool, even without the fatty and the blue glow! They are sheet, not cast, yet sound great on recordings. Playing feel is close enough to my acoustics that it isn't an issue. There was no hum through the pa and some minor feedback issues were easily remedied. The band was wowed with the bright shiny look of these cymbals! Phil | | Message posted 57 days ago | IP Logged |
