| I was fortunate enough to see Helle Hansen and her band on a recent holiday to Copenhagen, Denmark.
As Copenhagen has a very lively jazz scene, a visit to a Jazz Club was in order.............nice!
The artist playing that night was Helle Hansen, I hadn't heard of her before that day. I wasn't able to see the whole gig 'cos it was too smokey in the club and I didn't have my inhaler for asthma, so had to leave early. Not before I bought a copy of the CD though.
It is described as Jazz but I would say it is bordering on the pop side of jazz. A light-hearted CD that has some very catchy grooves and basslines and mellow melodies. Also, she has a very good voice which always helps in creating a good ambience. I would recommend it to anyone who likes something which is laid back and the smooth side of pop/jazz | | Message posted 2771 days ago |  IP Logged |
