How long should it take to load with dial up?   I've been trying to load it for a long while now.

All I have to record myself with is an old crappy tape recorder.

I know you can convert it somehow with a sound card?

A long distance friend of mine was going to convert an old tape recording of mine to MP3's for me because he had all the equipment.   But he's become too *busy* now to do it.

Hmmmm not sure about tape>digital, you will need some special piece of hardware that might cost a lot, although the cheaper way is to buy a PC mich for about £10 and play it loud and record it off that, although there will be a significant quality loss.  That recording i think was pretty good with a standard pc mich!

Sounds great thomas, good sounds, one point though maybe it is better to lay off the crash on the downbeat, just my opinion, overall sounds good, should sound great with a singer?

Yeah lol none of us have the guts to sing, and I agree with you on the crashes, its proabbyl best to keep it simpler with the downbeat

Lady drummer, it's 2.60 MB... it should take approximately 10-20 minutes for you.

Regarding the crash on the first beat of every measure... that's a serious over kill.  One thing thing you should try remembering is in general, crashes are meant to signal the end of a phrase.  So a crash would be great when the guitars change to distortion for this particular tune.

Cool thanks for the advice ill bear it in mind.

I think im a good drummer (if you dont then, pah!  I dont care ), but I dont really have much band experience which is what I need to work on, but for me (lots of various reasons) this opportunity arrives rarely.

Playing along with your favorite band's albums is a great way to learn how to be musical.  I did that A LOT for the first 3-4 years of playing, and it taught me what I should play and where when the music "says" a certain thing.

If I hadn't done that, I wouldn't be as able to create the right parts for original songs I play.  I would probably just play what felt good to play, instead of what fits the best.
