Hello all ,

Sorry for my delayed return to the group as I have been very busy lately with finishiung launching the online music store and new recording project stuff as well . Got some cool new music stuff happening .Check out a little description below and click the link to hear some early samples of some of the music I'm currently working on with a band I just joined up with .

After no more than 5 minutes of sitting in a room with these guys I knew that this was a project that I wanted to persue further . I got some sample tracks up on tagworld.com of the new project from the first night with the guys and myself ( I still couldn't get these tunes loaded up on myspace because it's backlogged ) . These are just basically jam tracks with a line level mix and everyone playing at once while the recorder was running so there are no retracks laid over on any of these tunes (what you hear is what was recorded in one take ) . Also alot of these tunes I was going off of visual cues on where the changes are in the songs to so they are rough in some areas . I thought some of you may dig hearing some of the early stage tracks of these tunes though . I have allready written a little more stepped up drum music for these so we will be laying down the real tracks soon , but these give a little taste of what I'm working on with them .

Here's the link if you would like to check them out and let me know what you guys and gals think .

I'm very happy with my decision to join up on this project and I can't wait to hear the tracks once we re-record them . If nothing else I'm sure there will be some real fun experiences jamming with these guys .

I like them a lot, Sam. I heard every influence you guys listed and more. Maybe a little Alice in Chains or similar Seattle grunge band sound, only a cleaner approach. Definately a progressive vibe going. Great playing!

Thanks Lee ,

Yeah all 3 of us have alot of influences that really spread through many styles of music so I figure I will expand the page on them a little more plus throw some pics on there soon . I really just kinda fell into this stuff with these guys and am really getting into playing this stuff . It's great to move right onto another positive direction in playing after the fallout I had with the Fireline thing with the guitarist who was being a dick . I was surprised how well this sounded together in a few short minutes after we started and really felt there was something there no doubt. I wrote some updated drum lines for the songs so I'm sure they will sound a little more open and tighter when we re-track them , but I was mainly focusing on just playing the groove . I tracked everything drum wise 100% with my ddrum4 electronic kit even the cymbals ( the samples I have in my ddrum module for my crashes sound very hauntingly like my sabian aax's it's scary ) . There's some tweaking that I did to some drum and cymbal voices to fine tune them in a little more with ( sound , effect , and levels ) , but I was real happy with what a first session with these guys sounded like just basically jamming . I'm gonna load some newer versions of the songs once we re-track some of them .

Keep rockin' man , & thanks for the input on the stuff .
