| Did the motorcycle club gig saturday night. The projected 400-500 turned into 40-50! LOL Set up and did the sound check around 1 pm and everything was fine. Then it rained so hard that it made driving difficult and it kept raining until we showed up to play around 8 pm. Our stage was a semi trailer with a 20 foot opening in the side hinged to lift up for a roof over a same sized drop down stage. It was a real nice setup for the band! Problem is the rain was coming down sideways at times and soaked all three of the guitarist's effects pedals. Talk about piss and moan, I thought we were gonna pack up and go. He got over it after awhile and we played. I zoomed some of it (kept forgetting to turn it on) and heard myself speeding up the tempo on several songs.
Was gonna quit the band after this gig but couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger. I couldn't find a way to do it without coming across as the heavy. My guitarist, whom I love to play with, thanked me afterwards for deciding not to stick a skewer into the bass player.
Oh! The show? Maybe 20 people showed any interest in what we were playing! This is most likely the last mc gig that we're gonna do. We knew it would be tough to bring the blues to the people in this pop/country&western/dj saturated area, but we figured there would be some interest from a mc. We were wrong. Oh yeah, we didn't get paid. A 50-50 raffle netted the winner $67. LOL Phil

| Look man it's all part of paying your dues.
Don't quit until you find another band.
It always looks better if your playing, anywhere, just somewhere.
If their not doing much then you have time to "jam" with new friends.
So get out to the clubs go see some bands, play at some jams, just go out and meet as many musicians as you can.
Tell them your not happy and you may find somebody that's not too happy with the drummer they have.
It's just always better to say "Yeah I'm playing with those guys but"
Than, I fucking quit those fuckers, the bassplayer was a dick.
You just look more like a team player.
And if you find a band it's all the more sweeter to say "sorry guys this other band has more gigs and actually pays real money, Yeah the one with all the dead guys on 'em. So I can't do your gigs anymore, I'm just too booked up right now".

| Phil thanks for the vote of confidence! And thank you for your words of wisdom! I'm feeling very frustrated right now but since all things must change I should be alright in a few days. Phil
