I guess, but when people say a supraphonic, generally they mean the steel or brass version.

I've been looking at the DW Copper and Brass snares since I can't seem to find an old Black Beauty at even a remotely reasonable price. Have you played these anywhere. If so, what are your thoughts on how they compare. I've only played the brass one.
