My funk band just got booked for my university's Frosh week.

It's the second night of a five day deal. There are three venues on campus where they setup bands. One's a 200 cap club, one's a 600 cap club, and one's a 3500 cap big hall.

We're in the middle one.

Last year the big venue had Metric in it. The year before was Bedouin Soundclash (maybe you know who those bands are).

Anyway I'm really surprised they wanted us to do it. Guess I should be complicated.

Either way it should be an interesting gig. There are 4500 new first years and less than that many spots in the clubs, so they're always totally rammed. And of course everyone is sauced and ready to party at their third night away from home.

Should be a fun way to kick off the school year... being in the band. DevilishDevilish

As long as they don't have chicken wire in front of the stage, it's a good gig!

A friend of mine that collects beer cans has one of those.

I played a hillbilly gig were there was a picket fence across the front of the stage to keep the "dancers" off of it.Argh!

No Al, there would be way too many girls in the way to put up chicken wire. Devilish

The gig is tomorrow night (Tuesday).

And all the first year girls arrived. I feel old but I am enjoying this way too much!

If you read through posts of yours from a few years ago you were freaking angelic in comparison to the rest of us.

Welcome to our way of thinking my friend.
