Depends how well you sand it down I suppose. I guess I wont know until I try - and it feels like it should be worth a try :D

Because I am an engineer - just thought it could be interesting!

Make a small (8" or 10") tom first, and if it sounds good try a bigger drum. Just to see if I can make something that is playable at home.

And that way then I will have another kit to play - and no-one will have the same one

But mainly to see if I can
