Practical Percussion are in the position to offer you their ex-demo Roland TD-8 Kit.

Derived from Roland's legendary V-Drums, the V-Custom drum kit incorporates the same technology and the same amazing feel, but at under half the price. This is not your average digital kit, with rubber drum pads - oh no, this is different! Being at the forefront of digital drum technology, Roland have designed 8" mesh head pads, which feel and respond like acoustic drum skins, and also support positional sensing. They are extremely sensitive and, like the pads on the V-Drums, you can even play with brushes.

More recently, however, this kit now incorporates two 14" V-cymbals which have the same dimensions and natural movement as acoustic cymbals. These V-cymbals are also dual-zoned allowing for expressive cymbal chokes to be played. Concentrated mass around the rim ensures uniform sensing wherever the cymbal is struck.

The TD-8 contains 64 drum kits, but not any old drum kits. Let's take the acoustic kit for example. It is not 'just' an acoustic kit, it can be 'the best' acoustic kit, tuned to perfection and miked up with 'the best' microphones in 'the best' recording studio! On top of that, the TD-8 also features computer modelling, which allows you to precisely tune and shape individual sounds according to drum size, depth, head type, shell material, muffling and even snare-strainer adjustment. You can also choose the acoustic properties of a room and add effects and EQ.

With all this technology, you would think there wouldn't be enough room for anything else, but the TD-8 also features a convenient on-board sequencer. There are 700 realistic preset patterns in a wide range of musical styles - perfect for practise whatever your tastes. The TD-8 is expandable, easy to use and fully GM-compatible - what more could you ask for?!
