| I just tested some new ear plugs tonight. They work great! Here's a link. I got the universal fit model. They don't muffle the sound much, but they cut the db's.

They also make in-ear monitors. Al in Illinois - Member since February 4, 2007.
I just love to beat on stuff with sticks!

| These seem to work better than foam. Drums sound like drums. Guitars sound like guitars. Al in Illinois - Member since February 4, 2007.

| I'm still using my outdated Shure e5 IEMs, with the triple flange ear pieces. I'll tune up open ear, but the e5s go on after that. Still running mic'ed drums to the mixer along with the cd changer. The trip flanges reduce the near field volume of the drums and allow me to mix as if I were the drummer on the cd at volumes that are kind to my ears! Had a hearing test done recently and am losing some on the left, where my guitarist is! Phil | | Message posted 285 days ago | IP Logged |
