I like them all.....  I would take anyone of them...  I have no brand choice... I belive it's all in the sound that you like, the finish that you like and the money you can afford.     I play, Pearls, Ludwigs and Mapex kits currently, with a lot of different snares.

"(Our) brand of kit" - meaning what we are playing, or what we'd like to play?

What I am playing: the same maple/poplar Ludwigs I've owned since high school (@1979). Now that I have half a clue how to tune, they sound pretty darned good!

What I'd like to play? I'd be happy with any of the brands listed above, but if I could wave a magic wand and have any kit(s) I want, I'd like either a new Tempus or Premier kit, or one made from Global Drum Company segment shells...and I'd like an old Rogers, Ludwig, Slingerland, or Gretsch "bop" kit.
