| >we won't see him back unless they change the link and he wants to tell everyone Argh!
If you do come back, then please introduce yourself and hang around...
And Tom we need a way to contact some of the guys who have disappeared...<
Sorry about that...... There is no way to be contacted when someone posts in response, and I had many things I needed to do on the net.
I was just going over my over long lists of Bookmarked pages and have been spring cleaning. I came back here to see what was bookmarked. Sorry, I had not even known there were any responses. I think the problem is there is no way to check to see if anyone had been responding.
Well...
>What kind of snare are you playing there?<
The entire set is a 2004 Cadeson Studio series. Three ply thin shells with re-rings. The snare is all Maple. Its a 5X14. I really like the set, and its not well known yet. Taiwan made.
And, I did not come back to give a new link, but there is one.

This newer one seems to work most times, and sometimes it does not.
Been slightly frustrated lately.... moved to an apartment. You know what that means. I used to practice at a home, but now the drums are just something nice to look at. Even brushes can be too loud if I am not careful.
Sorry about the lack of coming back. I wish there were some sort of notification system. But, what the heck... I did not think anyone would notice that much.
I just renamed the Bookmark so the page will show up when I open the Bookmarks. Sorry about that. It was always off screen when looking at my list.
Well....... missing playing. What can you do?

| How can anyone post any link to what the recorded and not be accused of not stoking their ego?
I quit being a drummer back in 1969.
Quit... Sold my drums.. And, bought a nice stereo.
I hated what the music business had become. Drugs, weird, etc. And, I got heavily into it before I quit.
It was not until a surprise Birthday party (50th) that the family got together and surprised me with an entry level MARS set. Remember Mars Music? That was going almost 30 years without drums.
Well, I soon found myself practicing at home and soon upgrading to a good set. Then I decided to once and for all get a real studio recording. Before I get too old!
I play only now in practice and for relaxation. But, my new apartment put an end to that, too. Ironically, I refused to seek out a band because most musicians bug me because of the 'ego stoked' issue! No one seems to want to play to please others by taking pleasure in playing creatively. They want to impress, not create their own sound and take chances. They are afraid of rejection, so they stay close to the accepted sound norm to conform to. I am not afraid of rejection. For I am not out to impress anymore. I am out to extract relaxation and enjoyment in being creative. I would also like some others to hear what I play so I can get feedback, of course. No one creates in a vacuum.
I now live in Acworth. NW of Atlanta. You in Atlanta itself? Just let me practice in peace, Genez | | Message posted 1757 days ago | IP Logged |

| Sorry.....
I believe when I posted here the site was just getting started. I kept coming back and was seeing no more interaction. So, I faded out and then lost track.
If it were not for me spring cleaning old bookmarks from my browser I would have not come back. I had forgotten about here (and quite a few other places, too). Sorry, but that's what happens with new sites that have not yet been established.
Don't take it personally that some post and leave. The more posts you have the more likely new people entering here will find it interesting. Be glad some did post and leave.
That's how I see it. Don't get frustrated. Be glad some have posted and left. The more content those entering find, the more many will be attracted to a forum.
I really believe part of the problem is the forum software itself. Its primitive in execution compared to many forums. Its hard to navigate, and too limited in ways. For example? I can not find a way to PM you. I can not figure out how to PM you in this format. So, if you want to delete this after reading it, feel free. I would have much preferred to PM you with what I just said.

| >This is also our world and if you don't want to play by our rules and accept things as they are then just go away.<
That was not my intent. But, if that's what you want.....
