Anybody have any experience or any opinion on Dream cymbals? They sound pretty great for the price, but how do they hold up in a show or over time? Any opinion one way or another is appreciated.

Duncan (who will likely pop on here in a little while) has one I beleive and he plays a bunch of them at the school he attends in Canada.

He really likes them. I have not gotten to play one myself yet.

Yeah, i've heard great things, but almost always from people on budgets and always about new purchases. Nothing too bad about that, I've just never heard someone call it their old stand-by.

I don't want to put words in Duncan's mouth, but he has been playing them since they first came out.

I'm curious myself as to what his take on them is now.

They're made by Wuhan Cymbals in China. I would think the china type cymbals would be very nice.Pleased

I played them at a 5-Star shop in Kenner Louisiana. They sound great. I wouldn't use them for heavy rock,I think they would crack.

That's the thing about them, they're thin and break easy.

Cheap is cheap.

I use them all the time.

They're extremely variable from one cymbal to the next. It's really to pick up one that sounds great, then the next sounds like complete rubbish.

I've been using them for about 5 years now. Never had one break, never had one crack. They have been very durable for me. Then again I'm not the kind of player that breaks cymbals.

Never found a set of hats that I like. They don't make the bottom hi-hat thick enough. Rides are definitely the strong suit of the company, and their larger crashes are quite nice. The small crashes are a little wussy for my taste.

They certainly all have a bit of a 'chinese' sound to them. Not sure how to describe it other than that. I think it's a product of their thinness. They really do wobble when you hit them. But I like that.

For the money, it's pretty hard to go wrong. But DON'T buy without playing, because of the inconsistencies in manufacturing.
