| Learn to play single bass before you put a double bass in your kit... Almost everyone now starts out with double bass and therefor do not understand how to truley play drums.. Not every song needs to "pulse" and "drive"... Ever heard of groove or pocket? Drums are an ensamble instrument not a solo instrument. You need to learn to play with people not over them.... Unfortunatley the nature of double bass and double bass players today is to play loud and fast so that they can show off...
BTW please stop using the slang abreviations. And you should really not be so cocky. Real people do not like cocky people. When you can play just one of Buddy Rich's solo's and have it on video I'll belive that you may have potentail to be the best ever.. Or a Billy Cobham, Or a Louie Bellson, Or Gene Krupa, Or even play a groove as good as Bernard Purdie.... Just because you gig does not mean your all that.... I can take you to places where the bathroom attendant is a better drum than most everyone else including the guy on stage. (Nashville) Be proud but less egotistical.
