I like to keep mine some what clean. I wipe them down with a rag dampened with sabian cymbal cleaner. It keeps the grime off them, but also lets the cymbals age properly. They definitely get a more warm feeling when dirty though!

I polish my cymbals once a year with neverdull metal polish. Neverdull is sold as cymbal cleaner under the name Buckeroo.
