As a seller of timber, in particular Australian hardwoods, I would debate the specs of 'hardness' given to the Rose Gum (also known as Flooded Gum) against some of the other species listed. Rose Gum is around 'middle of the road' in hardness as far as Aussie hardwoods go - Jarrah isn't even in the very hard category.
Rose Gum is commonly used in flooring and joinery here.
