If I had my own tech to set my kit up all the time, I'd have a HUGE double BASS kit. Double pedals are designed so well now, that I don't miss a double bass at all.

Eons ago, my very first set was a double-bass set up of Rogers, loved it. Now a single bass set of Pearls saving up enough $$ for a set Iron Cobra doubles.

That's true, my dbl. bass Rogers set was gloss black and looked awesome !! Hated to give 'em up. But now, back to single bass and am looking forward to the dbl. pedals. Double bass sets are the best looking though, I agree.

I've used 2 kicks for the past 12 years and just bought a set of dw 9002 double pedals so that I could switch off between one and two kick drums.  I'm sending them back though.  The energy loss between the slave pedal and the spring is just too noticable.  I also couldn't get enough spring tension for my tastes.  I'm going to try the Yamaha Flying Dragon double pedals before I give up, but I'm going to move the secondary spring to the slave pedal frame for more direct energy flow between the pedal board and the spring.  Somethin' tells me I just wont be able to beat my good old Pearl Eliminator singles.  If anyone wants to hear some of my drumming, go to garageband.com and search for the song "Great Expectations" by RasClaat.  I'm pretty proud of that one.
