Accidentally hi-jacking threads is so easy though...

Yeah, its fun, when its not freezing cold and snowing like it was last year on the day we went.

I know, it'll be sad. I can stick around and become a Disney connection? But that probably wouldn't be nearly as interesting!

"Anyway Mike, What are you most proud of 7 kits 34 snares or 62 cymbals?"

Jeez Matt, Im not sure if proud is the right word... maybe embarrassed.

Seriously, the snares and cymbals are about learning to me. I love to switch them out and see what happens. Right now I seem mostly focused on my cymbals. That can change at any time though.

Cool Dude

You are definitely welcome to stick around Katie.

Disney huh? What will you be doing there?

The last time I was at Disney World I took a tour of the Epcot construction site as it was still under construction. (1980 or 1981 I think...)

Wow man, you need to get back down there. ^_^ Lots has changed, there's so much more to do.

I actually used to work there, before I came back here to VA for a while. I met my fiance while we were both working down there, and we decided to move back down when we get married next March.

I used to work at the Grand Floridian doing merchandise, then I worked at Epcot as a secret agent on the Kim Possible attraction. Come March, who knows? Disney's really flexible about letting their employees change positions easily.

Oh hey, 100! ^_^ Thanks Mike!

Hey Phil, its kinda like playing 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon.

From cymbal history to cymbal sets to collections to Virginia to Disney.

Makes total sense to me. ^_~

Congrats on the hundered Katie!

And you do fit in.

I used to have hispanic mechanic that worked for me (in Florida) who would come across a job on a truck that someone had butchered. He would mean to say it was "Mickey Mouse". Instead he would say that someone had "done a Disney World" on this truck...

So, now the thread takes yet another turn.

By the way, I lived in south Florida for 12 years from 1979 to 1991.

Nice. ^_^ I'm used to phrases getting mixed up. My mom for the life of her can't get phrases right.

We get such gems as "Grab the bull by the tail" and going into something "Balls to the wind".

You are not the only non-drummer to spend time on here, you are the only one currently though.

If you ever want a part time job in Florida, I bet you'd be able to pick up a job in a drum shop there. We'd give you a good reference.

"We get such gems as grab the bull by the tail." Does that mean she'd also say "grab a tiger by the balls?"

I'm just saying...

Haha. I wouldn't put it past her man. And she knows she mixes up phrases, yet she still tries to use them. ^_^

Ah, with Disney full time scheduling, I doubt I'll have time for a part time job. But who knows, wonder if there are any good small drum shops down there near Disney...
