We've run into a few technical difficulties today. Some of the tile came in and the color is off. We were told that it can vary when we ordered it. But it isn't off by a small amount.

It's the 6" x 6" craftsman window panel. In the sample the colors were chocolate brown tan and moss green. We ordered this and then found individual tiles that are chocolate brown for the rest of the backsplash with an occasional tile in tan or moss green as an accent to be randomly placed. These come from a different manufacturer.

The window pane tiles came in and they are Choclate brown, tan and robin's egg blue instead of moss green. The tile company is claiming that this variance is normal. The company that we ordered it from is trying to help, but is caught in the middle.

Even if they remake the tiles, we'll have to wait another five weeks for them to come in.

These go behind the rangetop. because the range has four 18,000 btu burners and a gas grill in it, it is unusable without the ceramic tile backsplash.

The tile company is closed until Tuesday, so we can't even get this resolved.

There is also an issue that came up today regarding the granite and the fit of the kitchen sink.

We are both frustrated beyond words.

Argh!

We are currently on day 53 without a kitchen. Another five weeks will drive us insane.
