Kitchen and bathroom is just a nightmare from start to finish really. Cant cook, eat, or wash yourself properly for weeks/months. When my 'rents did their kitchen, they brought their touring caravan home, parked it in the front garden and voila, kitchen and eating facilities without the need for a real kitchen! Good idea I reckoned.
