The fence turned out great.

It is 6' high in the back yard and 4' high in the side yard due to zoning. The top is arched, and I mounted solar lights as caps on each post.

Our dogs are loving having a yard to run in again.

I figured I'd give an update.

The kitchen now has plaster! The cabinets were delivered and they are perfect, the contractor just started installing them today.

We finally picked out the tile for the backsplash and the granite for the countertops. We went with a fairly elaborate tile design behind the gas rangetop. If it turns out half as good as I expect it will, I'll take credit for the idea.

I've been keeping busy with painting projects elsewhere in the house.

Things are starting to take shape.

Mike that granite for the counter tops, is it flat enough to check the edges of drums? It would be good the have a perfectly flat surface for that somewhere in the house.Pleased Seems like a good place to have it.

The granite we had in the Chevy Chase house was perfectly flat, I expect that this should be the same. And as a matter of fact I did use that countertop to check out some shells.

Cool Dude

It seems like time for another update.

In the kitchen...

The walls are plastered and painted, the cabinets are installed and as of yesterday we have the appliances in.

We are waiting for counter tops and tile for the floor and back-splash.

Once the kitchen is done I'll post photos.

He is going to get serious about the upstairs bathroom now.
