Gene - On the other hand, you can get a 1.5 terabyte external USB drive these days for about $180. Al in Illinois - Member since February 4, 2007. I just love to beat on stuff with sticks! I have the remasterd versions of the classic Mark II albums. Roger Glover spent several years re-doing them - the sound on the remastered Made In Japan is awesome Luke F#*H YEAH

The remastered CD has three extra tracks too - including Black Night The remastered Machine Head also includes 'When A Blind Man Cries' the ballad which was meant to be on the album but Richie Blackmore had a dummy spit and had it removed Luke F#*H YEAH

That's true, but if you want it all backed up, and like to copy it to your laptop, and want to have some on your iPhone as well, you have to start dealing with multiple formats for the same music.

I have actually given that some thought. My Mac Pro has slots for 3 more internal drives. Installation involves attaching the drive to a metal slider with 4 screws, and sliding it back into its slot. Might be easier then adding an external drive.

But even with the availability of inexpensive disk space, there's a lot of time and effort to ripping, converting, copying, backing up.

Although I've started buying CD's, the only time I actually use the disk is when I'm putting it on my computer.

Once it's on my computer, I listen to it through itunes from my computer speakers or through my ipod.

There is just something about having the CD that I like. Pleased

Bands that I have the whole discography are:

- Biffy Clyro (4 Albums)
- Coldplay (4 Albums)
- Editors (2 Albums)
- Kings of Leon (4 Albums)
- Strokes (3 Albums)
- Wolfmother (1 Album)

I like to get all the albums for artists I like! Cool Dude
