Sabbath is touring here in August with the Iommi, Butler, Dio and Appice line-up. I really really want to go but can't really justify the AUD$130 ticket price I just felt like saying that........Luke
yeah, when i was a teenager...10-12 years ago..lol....i used to pay at most, 20 bucks to go to a concert, unless it was a really good band like dave matthews or something...those were the best years for concerts...
and i went like every 2 weeks, cause there were always good up and coming bands playing...
and "mystery" concerts are the best...one of mine were sevendust, fuel, and days of the new...it was a great night.-~=Joey=~-
It really blows me away. Back in my youth I used to go to Fillmore East, and if memory serves me the prices were $3.50 and $4.50.
The bills were amazing. Led Zepelin, Jeff Beck and Joe Cocker all one bill. The Allman Brothers and the Greatful Dead, just to name a couple.
I went to see Cream at MSG when they reunited recently and I had to go $400 to get a seat. When I was a young teen I saw them in the Village (at the Bitter End I think) for under $5. Sat a lot closer too. Only tough part was getting in when I was underage. Gene
I saw the Osbourne - Iommi - Butler - Ward lineup (the only one) in 98 or something like that with Godsmack and Drain STH. Badass show for sure. I wouldn't pay $130 bucks to see a group guys play Sabbath tunes even if two of them were in the band.
$130 Over here its in the £20-£35 for bands such as Muse, Dream Theater, Foo Fighters. I was gonna get tickets cause Foo Fighters are playing in Glasgow in November (£30) but they sold out soon after they went up for saleJosh
