| Does a new bass drum head improve the performance of a pedal?
i would like to know that bcause ill buy a pedal and i would like to know if its a good idea to buy a head .

| Did you mean that the head your pedal hits has a hole in it?
As far as getting a new head goes, I strongly recommend it!
I strongly recommend the following:
Aquarian Super-Kick I with the black Regulator with the 4 3/4" offset hole
Evans EQ4 with the EQ3 front head (offset hole.. choice of clear or black)
Remo Powerstroke 3 with the Powerstroke 3 Ebony front head (offset hole)
The Aquarian heads will give you that low-end you're probably looking for out of your bass drum. The others will probably be a lot better sounding for mic'd situations. | | Message posted 3012 days ago | IP Logged |
