They didn't sound bad.

I've played a few of the new 602 rides in stores, and judging from the ones I've heard, they're remarkably similar to my old pre-serial 602 rides. I think they sound great, and I hope Paiste expands the line.

They have that old 602 sound. If it's the sound you want, you'll like 'em. If it's not the sound you want, you'll like something else.

I was tied up with plaqying at a festival style event yesterday.

I played some new 602s and really liked tham, but I don't even know what I would compare them to. That, and I didn't get to play them in a band setting. I'd like to though.

Phil, as Our resident Sabian nut I think that you saying that "they didn't sound bad" is a big compliment.

I think that the old 602 sound is the one most Paiste players relish in a manner almost equaling the hushed tones saved for Turkish Ks of the 60s and earlier.

If they have in fact accomplished that i think they'll have a big winner.
