I love hot things, but the most I would eat would probably be around a cayenne pepper.
Not that I can't take the heat, but anything higher just has no flavor and just plain hurts.

I was in my early twenties and going through my first divorce. I worked part time as a draftsman designing fire-sprinkler systems. The building I worked in had a mix of offices and apartments. At that point in my life I thought that since I used Tabasco sauce" I knew what spicy food was all about.

An attractive young lady from one of the apartments stopped in one day to talk which was not unusual. This time she had a tiny bright green pepper with her. She asked if I like liked spicy food and of course I said sure.

I took the pepper bit the whole thing off, chewed and swallowed it. It was a habanero.

I thought my freakin' heart was going to stop. After her and my co-worker (who's idea this was) stopped laughing and I got my breath back it was okay.

Habernaros are tough.

tabasco do a 'hot' version that is made with habanero's....thats my fave pepper sauce, all the others are pointless apart from 'daves insanity sauce' http://www.chilefarm.co.uk/daves_insanity_hot_sauce.html its not a macho thing, you just get used to it after a while.....abit like alcohol, some people enjoy the feeling some dont blank
