No telling what heads will cost you there.. Snoopy, Chaotic?

Ok Remo is older than Aquarian they've been at the game for many years. At this point I don't even know if there are drummers working there or running the place. Evans is slightly older than Aquarian. And people use Evans because of the blue hydraulic heads which were the first of their kind. Aquarian is a newer company founded by and still owned and run by a drummer. Roy Burns External Link.....

There are differences in how the heads are made, what type of materials they use and how they are secured to the collar. I personnaly like and use Aquarians because of the way they are secured to the collar, the fact that the finish does not come of (like others) and that they already seem to have tone to them which the other don't. When you put one on your drum you will HEAR a BIG difference than when using other heads...

It all comes down to the material the head is made of, and the process of how it's manufactured.

Why are they better? That's generally a matter of opinion. But the proof's in the sound. You just have to mount one up and play on it to hear the difference.

What Aquarian's done that has made them sound 'better' is, they designed their drumheads with the purpose of imroving on the inherent problems of other makers' drumheads. The result is drumheads that eliminate high ringy overtones, heads that have stronger fundamental pitches and sound consistant from drum to drum (can't get that from remo Wink), and other subtle improvements...

The difference between Aquarian's and everyone else - you don't really need a drum, just tap it and it sings!

If the head is that good to start with, imagine what it will sound like on your drums!!

Believe me, I played Evans for years (much better than Remo) and I wouldn't switch back unless really pressed Err...
