As I recall, they have very little wash. Overtones don't tend to build up at all.

Flat tops are beautiful for acoustic jazz (IMHO). Roy Haynes uses them very often if not always. If you like his cymbal sound you like flat tops (and frankly I can't imagine someone not liking his cymbal sound).

The new one is the K Constantinople version, very expensive. The one on ebay looks like an A version. Much less expensive, but still a good buy.
