I haven't been posting much here of late (no reason, just haven't), but the lawn is mowed and I've got time before I need to fire up the grill, so I thought I'd kill some time and post some recent setups of mine, from a variety of recent gigs.

"In no particular order..."

We'll start simple - my kit at a recent student recital at the community school where I teach. I accompanied a few of my wife's voice students, and I just wasn't "feelin'" the school's Remo Legero kit and student cymbals.

Over on the far right? 22" hollow-block A Zildjian, with a few bolts to stop a bell crack from growing. I love my students, but they weren't allowed to hit this one. Wink

Leaving the various branches of the Zildjian family and hanging with the Paiste family for this one, a recent steel band gig:

Another steel band hit, this time with the micro-kit:

...firing up the Ludwigs at a symphony "pops" concert last September:

...and another symphony thing last November:

(Poinsettias go so well with my kit - I may need to make that a regular feature.)Cool Dude

Another symphony thing, this more of a multi-percussion setup. God loves a 26" bass drum.

OK, last one - from a recent jazz gig. (The K heavy ride? Lovely cymbal, but too similar to another cymbal I've got, so it got returned to the store for a refund.) Lots of Pete Engelhart "goodness" with this one...
