Yes, it is their student level/entry level kit.

It does have a couple of features that make it stand out a little at that price point. 30 degree bearing edges and a virgin bass drum haven't been done at this price point that I can remember. also, 5 lug toms are a Gretsch thing.

I'm not interested in it myself, but I'd point a new drummer at it.

We have two sets of them that I put together the last couple weeks.

They sound quite good for the money. But then again I'm quite biased.

I also think the Yamaha GigMaker is just as good. Just... different.
