Company Background

Spizzichino Cymbals was founded by Roberto Spizzinchino. Roberto was born in Rome, Italy in 1944 on January the 10th. Roberto adopted drumming at an early age, and by the time he reached 18 years old he was teaching and playing professionally.

From 1980 Roberto began hammering blank B20 Italian cymbals. Robertos cymbals soon gained notoriety in the Jazz drumming community worldwide.

Roberto sold away the right the the Spizz name in the 1980’s. ‘True’ Spizzichino cymbals have the R. Spizzichino logo stamped on their bodies.

Roberto moved to Tuscany in 1991 and continued to experiment and make his cymbals on his own.
